At 11:33 p.m., Long Branch police responded to a stabbing on the 200 block of Broadway and found Eren Kurkcu with multiple stab wounds, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said.
Kurkcu was rushed to a local hospital for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, March 8, Santiago said.
An investigation determined Nija Faust, 21 and Santana Rivera-Cosme, 20, both Long Branch residents, were responsible for the stabbing, Santiago said.
They were charged with murder in the first degree and two weapons offenses, Santiago said.
